The Fine Print & Fine Print Too

Our Objective:

The Fine Print & Fine Print too seek to foster the diverse, artistic expressions of the campus community. The student-edited journal serves as a forum where students, faculty and staff exercise their craft, poetry, short stories, essays and photography, and reflects the diversity of God-given imagination.

The Fine Print History:

Alliance University’s journal of literature and fine arts The Fine Print has celebrated over 50 years of publication. Under its first publication in 1968, the journal launched as The Unicorn and paved the way for generations of literature and art. As the journal passes from editor to editor, it continues to exemplify the creativity at Alliance University and the mission that first inspired its conception.

The Fine Print Today:

In addition to poetry, short stories, essays, and photography, the journal now accepts musical composition submissions from lyricists, rappers, spoken word artists and composers who may submit their lyrics or sheet music with a link to an online portfolio and website if applicable.

Each year, The Alliance University English Department sponsors The Fine Print awards contest to encourage and recognize talented writers and artists who are students at the college. Past winners have published their work in prestigious journals and art venues. The English faculty is thankful for the opportunity to work with the diverse and gifted student body as it pursues excellence and how thought, feeling, belief and form converge.
