Writing Center Consultants Needed

Both undergraduates and graduates are invited to apply to The Writing Center by choosing one of the four positions listed below. Submission instructions are included in each application.
1. Undergraduate Peer Writing Consultant – Application
- Assesses undergraduate students’ writing needs to give feedback for improving both writer and paper
- Enters all student appointment information into the appropriate databases
- Attends all staff trainings throughout the academic year
- Demonstrates pleasant and professional conduct and appearance
2. Graduate Peer Writing Consultant – Application
- Assesses graduate & undergraduate students’ writing needs to give feedback for improving both writer and paper
- Enters all student appointment information into the appropriate databases
- Attends all staff trainings throughout the academic year
- Demonstrates friendly and professional conduct and appearance
3. Online Graduate Writing Consultant – Application
- Meets with graduate and undergraduate students online via e-sessions
- Assesses students’ writing needs to give feedback for improving both writer and paper
- Demonstrates efficient technical resolution skills
- Enters all e-session information into the appropriate databases
- Evidences strong accountability and communication skills
4. Program Assistant – Application
- Executes administrative duties such as scheduling student appointments and updating databases; helping with staff trainings, events, and project preparation; and attending weekly staff meetings
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal & teamwork skills in supporting other Writing Center staff with priority tasks
