All applicants for Certification and those currently employed in educational settings are required to complete six clock hours of coursework or training in accordance with Article 2 Sections 10-18 of the Education Law. The workshops offered by Alliance University are in compliance with that law. The workshop facilitators should be contacted via email for further information about registration.
DASA Training Schedule
As of March 23, 2020, workshops will be held fully online based upon the NYS Education recent bulletin:
Some institutions of higher education and other organizations that provide the six clock hour Dignity for All Students Act (DASA) training are no longer holding classes in-person due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) public health emergency, preventing them from conducting the required minimum three clock hours of face-to-face instruction in the DASA training. To allow DASA training to continue, all approved DASA training providers, and institutions of higher education that include the DASA training in their educator preparation program curricula, may offer the DASA training entirely online during the time period of the state of emergency in New York State for the COVID-19 virus.
Email Dr. Willard to confirm. Assignments are based upon readings, case studies, and a Power Point/Prezi.
