3/3/2020: COVID-19 Update
Nyack College Students, Faculty, and Staff,
The official dates of Spring Break are Sunday, March 8 – Sunday, March 15, 2020. Recognizing some of you may leave earlier if your schedule permits, we want to remind you of the recent Travel Registry Policy that was put in place and sent via email on February 4, 2020.
Please Note the Policy:
—All members of our campus community are required to register any international travel they are undertaking personally or for College business, regardless of length and destination, prior to departure.
–Registration essentially means letting the College know about dates of travel, destinations and contact information in case we need to reach them or an emergency contact.
Here is how you Register:
— Faculty and Staff: Send an email to Karen Davie, Director of Human Resources and Title IX Coordinator, at karen.davie@nyack.edu identifying the traveler(s), all destinations and the dates of travel.
— Manhattan Students: Send an email to Charles Hammond, VP of Church Relations/Dean of Chapel, at charles.hammond@nyack.edu identifying the traveler(s), all destinations and the dates of travel.
— Rockland Students: Send an email to Wanda Velez, Vice President for Student Development/Dean of Students, at wanda.velez@nyack.edu identifying the traveler(s), all destinations and the dates of travel.
Although the risk of contracting the coronavirus remains low, Nyack College urges those traveling to take precautions. When you travel keep abreast of travel restrictions, travel advisories or any other recommendations being offered.
The College will closely monitor the coronavirus situation around the world and we plan to follow CDC guidelines for screening students coming from affected countries, in the event they are necessary.
