As the situation around coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to rapidly evolve, NYACK COLLEGE remains vigilant in monitoring updates and implementing measures from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and has created this webpage to provide information and resources, copies of official campus memos and details about preventative measures the College is taking.
First, there is no need for alarm. Nyack College Student Development offices have reported no active cases of coronavirus, now known as COVID-19, on Manhattan campus to date.
Nyack College remains proactive in our monitoring of the situation and in communication with local/state health departments. The college per CDC guidelines will implement any and all precautionary measures if needed.
Due to the Delta Variant of COVID-19 continuing to spread throughout the country, our policies on masking and social distancing while on campus remain regardless of vaccination status. According to the CDC, the US authorized and approved vaccines continue to afford the greatest protection against this variant. The Delta variant, however, is more highly contagious than previous variants, and vaccination to date is not 100% effective at preventing viral spread. Therefore, precaution must continue to be taken to protect ourselves and our fellow Nyack students, staff, faculty, and families.
