
Nyack’s Center for Scholarship and Global Engagement and the New York City campus Office of Student Development will welcome back Mr. Udo Middelmann as the guest speaker for the 2018 Spring Lecture on Wednesday, April 11 at 2:30 p.m. in the Music Hall located on the 22nd floor at 2 Washington Street in Manhattan. He will address the topic, “Your Life Matters: How the Scriptures Affirm Your Responsibility to Live in the Image of God and to Be Fully Human to Your Neighbor and All Reality.”
President of the Francis Schaeffer Foundation, Mr. Middelmann holds degrees in law from Freiburg University (Germany), and in theology from Covenant Theological Seminary (St. Louis, MO). He has also worked with Dr. Francis Schaeffer as an associate pastor as well as a long-time foundation trustee, member and lecturer at the Swiss L’Abri.
Mr. Middelmann has lectured widely on ethics and society in many countries on all continents and regularly publishes “Footnotes.” His books include “God and Man at Work : Doing Well and Doing Good in the Bible’s View of Life,” “Pro-Existence: The Place of Man in the Circle of Reality,” “Neither Necessary Nor Inevitable: History Needn’t Have Been Like That,” and “The Market-Driven Church: The Worldly Influence of Modern Culture on the Church in America.” He has authored numerous articles and contributed chapters to other books and papers.
Udo and his wife, Deborah, divide their time between the United States and Switzerland. They are the parents of five children and seven grandchildren.
