This is Spring Break: Nyack’s Volleyball Team Serving in Bulgaria

“This trip is an answer to prayer. Many players are traveling out of the country for the first time,” says Nyack’s Head Volleyball Coach Raquel Shaffer of her team’s upcoming trip to Bulgaria during spring break this month.

On how this trip and the destination came to be, she explains, “My player Grace Morton’s dad is a pastor at Bible Fellowship Church in Delaware. They take trips there and work with Christian Church Faith in Sofia, Bulgaria, the capital. Pastor Morton has arranged for us to run a Bible study during an outreach event. He knows the Athletes in Action workers in Sofia and asked them to set up tournaments for us. We are going to play in two tri-matches and then afterwards are going to share the gospel by having players give their testimonies and hand out Bibles. We will also run a free volleyball clinic at a middle school.”

Join the Nyack College community as we pray for Coach Shaffer and her team and for the Bible Fellowship Church group—for safe travels, good health and transformational impact on those who will receive the ministry and for those who will share it.

This is Nyack on spring “break”…taking the gospel to whole world. Our legacy is global. Our legacy is love.
