The Writing Center’s “Behind the Project” with Prof. Jensy Acosta

The Nyack College Writing Center will host a “Behind the Project” event featuring Jensy Acosta, an adjunct professor in Nyack’s Bible department on Monday, October 1, 2018 at the Nyack New York City campus at 2 Washington Street in Manhattan in Room 2037 from 4:00-6:00 PM. He will share from his lecture “A Biblical Call to Justice” based on Matthew 5:6. This event will include responses from panelists: and a dramatic reading of The Beatitudes.

Prof. Acosta was a presenter at the National K.I.N.G. Summit, which was held in Memphis, TN this past April, in commemoration and participation with MLK50. “MLK50: Gospel Reflections from the Mountaintop,” was an event that marked the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Jensy Acosta is a 2009 Nyack College alumnus who earned an undergraduate degree in biblical and theological studies. He completed a master’s degree from Princeton Theological Seminary.
