Research is being done. Papers are being written. Deadlines are still in place. And so is the Nyack Writing Center staff.
The Center, directed by Prof. Beverley Locke, continues to offer services online. Support is provided for writing projects across all disciplines, programs, and genres; academic and non-academic writing projects; any writing skill level; and any stage of the writing process to improve or enhance short-term and long-term outcomes.
Writing Center hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM; 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Friday from 11:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
Appointments can be made with a writing consultant. First-time users can learn more about e-sessions. For quick writing tips, video chat with the staff via Google Meet every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
A special online Table Talks events will take place weekly on Thursdays April 2 – April 23 featuring consultants Tricia Bent on “Evaluating and Citing Sources (Turabian) 4:15 PM – 5:00 PM; Alice Chevalier on Evaluating and Citing Sources (MLA & APA) 4:45 PM – 5:30 PM; and Emmanuel Jean-Pierre on “How to Research and Write an Exegetical Paper” 1:15 PM -2:00 PM.
