The Third Annual Great Fish Count in New York City

Nyack College Associate Professor of biology Dr. Peter Park extends an invitation to adults and children to participate in the third annual Great Fish Count taking place Saturday, June 2 from 9:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. throughout the five boroughs of New York City.

This free public event, which explores and counts the species of fish and marine creatures in the city’s waterway, is organized in partnership with the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. Nets are provided. Though an RSVP is not required, a response to the invitation is encouraged.

Dr. Park will head up the site in Fort Totten in Queens from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. He will also help with the site at Brooklyn Bridge Park from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.
