The Center for Racial Reconciliation | A Conversation With Pastor David Swanson

Pastor David W. Swanson

The Nyack College Center for Racial Reconciliation (CRR) continues its series “Beyond Diversity,” with an insightful conversation between CRR Director Dr. Nathaniel Perez and pastor and author, Rev. David Swanson.

Rev. Swanson is the author of Rediscipling the White Church: From Cheap Diversity to True Solidarity (Intervarsity Press) and also hosts a blog. He became the church-planting pastor of New Community Covenant Church, a multi-ethnic, multi-racial, multi-cultural church in Chicago’s Bronzeville neighborhood a decade ago. New Community Outreach, a non-profit that collaborates with the community to reduce sources of trauma, and speaks around the country on the topics of racial justice and reconciliation.

New Community Church is a ministry whose values of grace, truth, unity and the Kingdom shapes its identity as “a reconciled and reconciling people.”

Nyack’s Center for Racial Reconciliation was established in spring 2020. Visit the CRR website, to view archives of videos, articles, op-eds and to learn about upcoming events.
