Nyack’s 2019-2020 Student Government Association (SGA) is continuing its efforts to serve the student body by addressing their interests and concerns. After a successful “New Student Picnic Mixer” in Wagner Park near the New York City campus prior to the start of the academic year, new activities are being planned by the officers.
Seong Min “Elidia” Nam (pictured above), SGA’s new president, a pastoral ministry major; Leonardy Paluan, vice president, an interdisciplinary studies (pastoral ministry and biblical studies/theology) major; Joshua Romain, public relations officer, a psychology major; and Juheui “Amy”Lee an interdisciplinary studies (pastoral ministry and psychology) make up the quartet of enthusiastic leaders.
On Wednesday, September 25 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, SGA will host a Club Expo in the Manhattan campus Student Lounge in the Lower Level at 2 Washington Street. Ten groups, including three *new clubs, will be represented. The roster includes the Business Club, *Chess Club, *Debate Club, Fishing Club, Living Waters Dance Ministry, Psychology Club, *Small Groups, Students Against Hunger and Social Work Organization.
As in previous years, SGA is accepting applications for free Metrocards based on financial need. This service is available to eligible New York City campus undergraduate students. Applications can be picked up in the SGA office (Room 007) in the Lower Level. The deadline for returning completed forms to the SGA office is Friday, September 27.
