Shaun Jacobs-Patterson (’12) Named Senior Pastor at Trenton, NJ Church

Shaun Jacobs-Patterson, an Alliance Theological Seminary December 2017 alumnus who earned an MA in biblical studies and a BS in pastoral ministry at Nyack College in 2012, was named senior pastor of Triumphant Life Community Church in Trenton, NJ. He will assume the leadership role previously held by Bishop Herbert Bright, who recently retired.

In Nyack’s Division of Student Success, the pastoral ministry alumnus, serves as the Testing,Tutoring and Assessment Coordinator and a HEOP Adviser. The newly installed pastor says, “My passion has always been the community. As we embark on this new chapter, we will be a church in the community for the community. That will include having outreach programs that meet the needs of the community and surrounding areas. The only way we can achieve that goal is by showing the love of Jesus and through the direction of the Holy Spirit.”

Triumphant Life is a welcoming faith community that invites residents of surrounding neighborhoods to be a part of their various activities and is intentional about providing pastoral care to the less fortunate in the community. With the kind of outreach the growing congregation is engaged in, this new church family will be the perfect fit for Shaun, his wife, Sheree (Penn) a 2012 Nyack alumna, and their sons.

Congratulations, Pastor Shaun!
