Sept 7: Auditions for “Aida” | An Alliance U Production

WANTED: Singers. Dancers. Actors. Stage Crew. Come show off your talent and audition for the Alliance University Off-Broadway production of the Tony-Award-winning Elton John/Tim Rice musical, Aida. Students of any major and also staff are invited to audition for parts. The full production with orchestra will be presented on the stage of the American Theatre of Actors located at 314 W 54th St in Manhattan, the venue where past AU performing arts productions have been presented.

Auditions will be held in the AU Music Hall (Room 2241) on campus at 2 Washington Street, Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM before a panel of judges including Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost, Dr. David Turk and members of the music faculty. Selections from Aida are preferred for singers.

Students who enroll in MUS 366 Musical Theater Workshop can receive 1-3 credits for involvement in the production. Callbacks will be announced soon after the audition so that students can register for the course to receive academic credit.
