An Arts Series Recital hosted by the Nyack College Rockland School of Music will feature pianist Hui-Mei Lin on Monday, January 22 at 7:30 PM in Pardington Hall, 45 South Boulevard in Nyack, NY. Her extensive career includes performances as a solo artist and as a chamber musician. An alumna of the Hartt School of Music (Bachelor of Music), Juilliard School (Master of Arts) and the City University of New York (Doctor of Musical Arts), Dr. Lin made her New York solo debut at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall as the winner of the Artists International Competition.
Applauded as “an excellent pianist” by the New York Times, her talent has opened doors to concerts across the United States and in Italy and Canada. In her homeland of Taiwan, two National Concert Hall performances were sponsored by the Taiwanese government. She has also appeared on PBS (Maryland), WQXR (New York City), Taiwan Television and China Broadcasting Company.
Dr. Lin also presents lecture-recitals at colleges and music clubs, including the Hartt School, the American Guild of Organists, Aaron Copland School of Music at The Queens College, and Soo Chow University in Taiwan.
All are welcome to come and enjoy this free concert!
