Nyack’s Cheryl Phenicie School of Nursing was ranked among the top 10 nursing schools in New York by RNCareers.org. This fourth annual nursing school ranking placed Nyack College at #8 in the state and named it one of the best nursing schools in the nation with a grade of 90.56%. Data was gathered from New York’s state board of nursing to find, report and rank the best BSN degree programs New York.
RNCareers.org is an organization of nurse educators, nurse practitioners, RNs and LPNs whose mission is to advance the careers of men and women in the field of nursing. In addition to ranking RN programs, they identify scholarships and other financial aid opportunities, help nurses with transfer of RN licenses to another state, foster success on the NCLEX exam and guide RNs in job placement.
In her announcement to the College, Laura Jacobson, MS, RN, WHNP-BC of RNCareers.org states, “We rigorously evaluated 1,892 RN programs on a number of factors important to nursing students including first-time NCLEX passing rates, accreditation, program offerings and more. Nurses are the backbone of the healthcare system and preparing great nurses is something we’d like to acknowledge Nyack College for doing so well.”
