Nyack Business Society Hosts a Financial Discipleship Event with Michael Blue

The Nyack College Business Society will host a NEXUS Peer-to-Peer Financial Discipleship Event featuring Michael Blue, executive director and general counsel for the Nyack Ron Blue Institute (RBI) on Sunday, October 14 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Hudson Palisades Room of Boon Campus Center on the Nyack Rockland campus. Prof. James Muckell will chair the evening. A mock peer-to-peer coaching session will be presented by the student coaches, followed by remarks from Mr. Blue.

The Christ-centered NEXUS program integrates stewardship principles with a scriptural foundation. The discipleship model pairs student coaches with their peers to influence them to be become better managers of their personal finances.

Prior to his RBI role, for a decade Michael Blue served as an attorney and specialized in business and securities law, real estate acquisition, development and leasing and estate planning. He earned his law degree from Baylor University, where he graduated summa cum laude. In 2002, he became a certified financial planner.

Dinner will be provided courtesy of Casa del Sol located in downtown Nyack, NY. Both Nyack College and Alliance Theological Seminary students are invited to attend and should RSVP.

On Monday, October 15, Michael Blue will be hosted by the Office of Spiritual Formation as the guest chapel speaker at 10:05 a.m. in Pardington Hall, 45 South Blvd. in Nyack.
