Nyack alumna, Dr. Alicia Martinez (MSOL ’17) is the new dean of Student Experience and Belonging at Mitchell College in New London, CT where she will lead various facets of student life, which includes residence life, wellness, Title IX compliance, judicial code, and campus safety.
Dr. Martinez is returning to Mitchell College where, from 2004-2008, she was the director of student activities and orientation. Prior to rejoining the administration at Mitchell, she was the program manager in the Office of Diversity Enhancement & Medical Education at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she oversaw the Einstein Enrichment Program for underrepresented populations in the field of medicine, health and science. She also developed and ran the Community Based Service Learning Program for medical students.
