November 14 | Behind the Project: Book Launch with Emmanuel Jean-Pierre

The Nyack College Writing Center will host a Get Creative! Behind the Project event featuring author Emmanuel Jean-Pierre on Thursday, November 14 from 8:30 PM to 10:00 PM in President’s Hall (Shuman Hall) on the Rockland County campus. He will read from his newest book, The Legend of Vartanis: Book One.

The audience will be introduced to Christina’s world where girls control fire, boys control water and the adventure of how these elements will co-exist guarantees to intrigue Emmanuel’s growing fan base and captive new ones. Writing Center Director Professor Beverley Locke will interview the author and explore the process of writing and publishing.

Emmanuel Jean-Pierre, who is a Writing Center peer writing consultant for graduate students, is a 2016 alumnus of Alliance Theological Seminary. He is also the Nyack Rockland campus chaplain and oversees the Office of Spiritual Formation’s Creative Arts Ministry.
