Dr. Andrew Mercurio, director of the Nyack Alliance Graduate School of Counseling’s (AGSC) Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) program made two presentations at the National Conference of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy in Louisville, KY last month.
“Integrating 9 Theories of Marriage and Family with Christian Spirituality” and “Developing a Theory of Theory Selection for Best Clinical Practice” were the two forums Dr. Mercurio conducted. More than 150 marriage and family therapists and educators from across the country attended the event which offered continuing education credit.
Six Nyack graduate students attended the conference giving them exposure to professional development and education that complements their AGSC studies. Nyack’s MFT program has specialized accreditation with COAMFTE (Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education).
