March 13 | History-Making Basketball Team Off to NCAA Tournament

Nyack College Head Men’s Basketball Coach, Valiant Jones, proudly shares great news: “The Nyack Warriors program will continue its 2021 season with a trip to the NCAA Tournament. We are headed to the regional tournament for the first time in the school’s history! We earned the 6th seed and will face Bloomfield on Saturday, March 13 at 8:45 PM.”

Coach Jones is a 2009 Nyack alumnus and was a stand-out basketball player for two seasons after transferring to the school in 2007. Today with the same passion and unrelenting commitment to his alma mater’s sports programs, he points out “It’s been a blessing to play the game of basketball this year with everything going on in the world. Our guys really have been working extremely hard and staying focused in order to complete this season. Our goal was always to make history and compete in the NCAA tournament for the first time. The players bring energy every day in practice and games since we cannot have fans at our games. New Jersey City University has been amazing the entire year. That they opened their doors to let us use their facility six days a week means the world to us!”

Tune in to the game this Saturday at 8:45 PM and cheer on our team. Let’s go Warriors!
