“Pressing on Through Transition” is the theme of the Nyack College and Alliance Theological Seminary chapel service to be held Tuesday, June 16 at 5:00 PM on Zoom. Vice President of Church Relations and the Chapel Dr. Charles Hammond invites students, faculty and staff to gather for this virtual service. A link providing access will be emailed to the campus community in advance.
Associate Professor Dr. David Emanuel of Nyack’s College of Bible and Christian Ministry will be the guest speaker. Dr. Emanuel, who hails from London, has been a member of the faculty for a decade and teaches Old Testament and Hebrew courses at the College and the Seminary.
A graduate of the University of London with an M.Sc. in Computer Science, he left a successful career in computing and telecommunications to pursue his interest in Hebrew Bible. After completing a second master’s degree in Bible and Ancient Near East, he earned a Ph.D. in Hebrew Bible/Old Testament at the Hebrew University. While living in Israel, Dr. Emanuel served as an elder in a Messianic congregation. He has written numerous articles on Hebrew grammar for the BibleMesh project and provided the Hebrew audio recordings for the program.
As with past virtual gatherings for chapel, the June 16 event will be an uplifting time for hearts and minds to be refreshed and refocused on all that God has done and is doing through Nyack College and Alliance Theological Seminary.
Mark your calendar today and be on the lookout for the email from Dr. Hammond for full details on “Pressing on Through Transition.”
