“Jesus Week” was observed May 27 through June 3 this year by churches throughout New York City. This initiative united people in prayer and in a variety of outreach efforts that concluded with a celebration exalting the name of Jesus in Times Square.
A Jesus Week Appreciation Banquet will be held on Thursday, September 7 from 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. at the Nyack College NYC campus, 2 Washington Street in Battery Park. Registration for the banquet is required.
Event organizer, Pastor David Beidel of New Hope Community Church in Staten Island and of Saturate New York says, “We look forward to an amazing time of celebration, fellowship and strategic, Christ centered partnership. During Jesus Week we experienced a glorious coming together of many powerful streams and movements in our city. The impact citywide was phenomenal. Our goal at this banquet is to honor unifying leaders from every borough and community district in our city and to explore some exciting next steps.”
Speakers include Alliance Theological Seminary alumni Pastor Beidel (ATS ’88) and Pastor Dimas Salaberrios (ATS ’12) as well as David Bryant, Christ Now; Phil Cohn, Christ 4 All Peoples; Pura Coniglio, Love Gospel Without Walls’ Chris Cooper, Bless Every Home; Donnel Harper, New Covenant Temple, UHC; Mac Pier, The NYC Leadership Center; and Mullery Jean Pierre, United Praise.
