The communications major was born in Lima, Peru. Following graduation, Gianella explored her passion for traveling and discovering new cultures. While at Nyack, she was an intern at WLIB/Hot97/WBLS radio station in Manhattan owned by Emmis Communications Corporation. She credits her time on the staff of Nyack’s radio station as invaluable experience that prepared her for the world of broadcasting.
