“Lord, teach us to pray.”
That’s the 2018-2019 chapel theme of the Nyack College Office of Spiritual Formation on the Rockland County campus. Engaging that topic, Rich Villodas, lead pastor of New Life Fellowship in Queens, NY will be the featured speaker for five services, February 4-6, in Pardington Hall, 45 South Boulevard in Nyack, NY.
Prior to becoming lead pastor of the multi-ethnic, multi-generational urban congregation, the native of the East New York section of Brooklyn oversaw New Life’s small group ministry and served as a preaching pastor.
Rich Villodas graduated with a BA degree in pastoral ministry and theology at Nyack and earned his Master of Divinity at ATS. Reading widely, preaching and writing on contemplative spirituality, social justice issues and on the art of preaching, he also is part of the writing team at Missio Alliance, a network of church leaders per their website, “seeking fellowship in theological conversation, identifying resources for theologically reflective ministry practice, and considering the shape of formal approaches to training men and women as Christian leaders in North America as a mission context.”
