Feb 18: School of Music’s Noel Wippler, a Featured Artist in Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival

Noël Simoné Wippler, Nyack College NYC School of Music vocal performance student, will perform at the Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival in Rockville, MD this weekend. She'll be in the spotlight on the Ronnie Wells Main Stage on Saturday, February 18 at 3:00 PM. Noël was the grand prize winner of the 2016 Jazz of America: Mid-Atlantic Vocal Jazz Competition. In 2014 she placed second in the First Annual Duke Ellington Vocal Jazz Competition. Her musical repertoire crosses the genres of soul, jazz, latin, opera and includes her original compositions.

Born and raised in Harlem, the multi-talented Nyack senior plays several instruments, and is a singer/songwriter and actor who played the role of Anita in Nyack's December 2016 production of West Side Story.
