EMPOWER 2019-2020 Kicks off at Alliance Theological Seminary in New York City

Equipping, motivating and preparing women worldwide for effective ministry. That’s the mission of EMPOWER.

This dynamic eight-month certificate program offers a multi-generational population of women biblical and theological training combined with classes in spiritual formation as well as mentoring. EMPOWER launched in September 2012 under the auspices of The Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA) Metro District and Alliance Theological Seminary. Dr. Wanda Walborn is the program director.

Classes begin on Saturday, September 21 in a new location:  Alliance Theological Seminary (ATS), 2 Washington Street in Manhattan for New York students.

EMPOWER has grown exponentially. These 2019-2020 stats tell the story best.

• 183 women will be a part of EMPOWERone, the program’s foundational course.

115  of the 183 will join classes via Livestream from 11 other sites in Alaska, California, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania and in over seven time zones! (Including Taiwan, Spain, France, Germany, Kosovo, Jordan, Lebanon and Palestine.)

• 65 women are in EMPOWERengage.

• 22 women are in EMPOWERproclaim.
