Dr. Tammy Lum Plays for Portugal and the World

Dr. Tammy Lum, Nyack College School of Music professor, is a featured performer in the weeklong Porto Pianofest, originally scheduled to take place in Portugal August 1-8. Because of air travel restrictions due to the global pandemic, the directors of the festival have organized a series of virtual performances showcasing some 60 pianists from around the world. Dr. Lum’s video performance will be released on Friday, August 7 (Part 6) beginning at 5:00 AM EST and will be archived on the Porto Pianofest website, YouTube and Facebook Live.

Porto Pianofest is directed by pianist, Nuno Marques, and was co-founded in 2016 by Dr. Marques and pianist-composer, Mariel Mayz. This talented husband and wife duo are friends of Nyack College. Both have been on the roster of performers and lecturers for the Hudson River Pianofest directed by Dr. Lum.
