James Blankemeyer was a friend, contributor, advisor, and devoted ally of Alliance University. He and AU shared a common goal… taking the “Whole Gospel to the Whole World.” Through the investment of their time, talent and treasure, Jim and Carolyn Blankemeyer provided critical support which enabled Alliance University to execute the “Miracle in Manhattan” and secure our new 21st century home in lower Manhattan.

Jim passed peacefully into the presence of our Lord on December 27, 2022. His obituary said of him, “Jim was known for his generosity, sharp intelligence, and extreme patience. He desired Truth in Jesus Christ and to serve the Lord to the best of his abilities.”

“The kingdom of heaven,” Jesus said, “is like a mustard seed that a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all your seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and perch in its branches.” (Matthew 13:31-32, NIV)

Thanks to James Blankemeyer’s critical “seed” funding, Alliance University has been strategically replanted in New York City, providing thousands of students with a world-class Christian education. As someone once said, “When you influence New York City, you change the world.”
