Nyack Scholars Symposium
The Center for Scholarship and Global Engagement (CSGE) at Nyack College will host its Eighth Annual Scholar’s Symposium in collaboration with The Center for Public Justice based in Washington, D.C. This year’s theme is “In Search of Civil Engagement.”
The two-day event will be held on Wednesday, November 2 at the Nyack New York City campus, 2 Washington Street in Manhattan and on Thursday, November 3 at the Nyack Rockland County campus at 1 South Boulevard in Nyack, NY.
Plenary sessions at both campuses will feature panelists Greg Bish, director of Service-Learning at Gordon College; Kevin den Dulk, director of The Henry Institute at Calvin College; Charity Haubrich, director of The Community Institute for Education at The Center for Public Justice; and Anne Snyder, director of The Character Initiative at The Philanthropy Roundtable.
Breakout sessions on both days include a showcase of research by professors as well as paired presentations by professors with students. A full schedule of sessions will soon be available on “Guidebook,” the free mobile app for Android and iOS.
