Frank Dalene (’77) in Sports Car Club of America Race

Hat juggling could be added to the list of Frank Dalene’s talents…because he wears so many.

For starters, the 1977 Nyack College alumnus is president and CEO of Telemark, Inc., an award-winning luxury home construction enterprise based in Long Island, NY. The ardent advocate for green technology is also founder and chairman of the Hamptons Green Alliance and the founder, president and CEO of Carbon Factor, Inc. He’s also been a member of numerous construction industry, civic and philanthropic boards, as well as a conference presenter in the U.S. and abroad. Articles he has written have been published in “Custom Builder Magazine,” “Builder & Remodeler Magazine” and the “Journal of Renewable and Sustainable Energy.”

What else fuels “Frank’s tank”? At the top of the list is his family, which includes Gwen, his wife of 43 years and his daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter. However, there is one other passion that gets Frank Dalene revved up: auto racing.

From the age of 14 Frank worked on cars and at 16, he was building muscle cars and racing them in the streets. He began road racing in 2016, shot through the ranks and this year on March 4 in Sebring, Florida, he debuted as a professional driver in the Trans Am Series. He’ll fasten on a helmet and get behind the wheel of car #82, a TA2 Camaro in the Sports Car Club of America Trans Am Series, his first televised race, which will air Sunday, July 1 on CBS Sports at 2:00 p.m.
