Donations to ATS, Bailey, or Wilson Libraries The libraries welcome gifts of books or other materials to support the curriculum of the institution.
Financial contributions, including memorial gifts and endowments, can also be made to the libraries through the Advancement Office, Nyack College, 1 South Blvd., Nyack, NY 10960.
Donations may be delivered directly to the Circulation Desk at the libraries. A donation form (which includes the current date and the donor's name, address, and phone number) will be completed upon receipt of donation.
The Director of Library Services should be contacted to arrange for the delivery of large donations.
All donations received are subject to the approval of the Director of Library Services. Donations of journal issues must have prior approval of the Director to verify the usefulness of the title and to avoid duplication of current journal holdings (general guidelines are that a periodical donation must either be a title that we currently own and be used for filling in gaps or missing issues, extend the current run, or be a valuable run of a new title that would be beneficial to the curriculum). The Library will not accept formats of materials we no longer collect, such as filmstrips, LP's etc. Donors should be aware that all gifts are accepted with the understanding that, upon receipt, the library becomes the owner of the material and, as such, reserves the right to determine retention, location, cataloging treatment, and any other considerations relating to use or disposition.
Donated materials will be added to the collection provided that they fit into the collection development guidelines currently in effect and do not duplicate current library holdings. Gifts that are not added to the collection may be offered to other Nyack libraries, other libraries, or book distribution organizations or placed on the Book Sale Shelf available to the Nyack community.
Each donor will receive an acknowledgement from the receiving library, as well as a Gift-in-Kind form from the Advancement Office that can serve as a valid tax receipt. |
