Personal Questions
Tell us about your spiritual journey.
I became a Christian as a child and felt called into the ministry at age 15. Through many good times and bad I have come to lean on God's faithfulness.
Tell us about your family
My wife is Janet and our three grown daughters live in the Philadelphia area.
Any outside interests or hobbies?
I am a serious runner...20 miles per week. Fitness goal is to always be half-marathon capable. I participate in various half-marathons (13.125 miles) or 10 mile races through the year. I am EXTREME in my love for backpacking and skiing. I am learning how to snowboard. Starbucks owes some of their $$ success for the amount of business I give them by my own going there or having meetings there. I have Starbucks mugs from Switzerland, Scotland, London, Manila, Hong Kong and Bankok.
How were you led to Nyack and/or why are you here?
After 20 years as a youth pastor God really called me into this mentoring ministry.
What does your faith mean in your classroom or discipline?
Spirituality is essential to the practice of youth min or Christian ed. Especially when the hard times come (and they will!) it is vital to have a well-fed soul.
What does your faith mean in relationships (particularly with students)?
I learn much from the spiritual life and giftedness of my students. Our Dept. is like a family.
What are your favorite courses to teach?
I love all the courses I teach and I can't wait to get into the classroom each session.
What is/are your favorite book(s)?
