Earth Day


 

The Office of College Relations at Nyack College welcomes our neighbors surrounding the Rockland County campus to join faculty, staff and students who will celebrate Earth Day on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until noon by partnering with Keep Rockland Beautiful, Inc. in a clean-up event on Upper Depew Avenue in Nyack.

Keep Rockland Beautiful is a local organization that participates in a nationwide initiative, the Great American Cleanup.

WHO?

You. Your family. (Children are welcome!) Your friends.

WHAT?

Join Nyack College students, faculty and staff in a neighborhood cleanup event (Be sure dress appropriately for the weather; preferably long pants; no open toe shoes.)

WHEN?

Saturday, April 21 from 9:00 a.m. until noon

WHY?
  • Help us get rid of litter and debris
  • Plant flowers to beautify this corridor of the village
  • Be an active part of the community
  • Earn community service hours
WHERE?

Upper Depew Avenue (starting at the intersection of Hall Avenue) in Nyack

HOW?

If you’d like to be a part of the Nyack College crew, email Nyack’s Special Events Coordinator Nancy Gates at nancy.gates@nyack.edu. Plan to meet the Nyack crew on April 21 at 9:00 a.m. outside the main entrance of Boon Campus Center where transportation will be provided to the cleanup site, or go directly to the work site at the intersection of Hall Avenue and Depew Avenue.
