PAVE Mentoring

PAVE Mentoring is a program that seeks to give first semester students a safe place to process and grow into the Nyack College community. In conjunction with the Introduction to Spiritual Formation class, PAVE aims at giving people a place to belong and a place to actively engage with others about faith. PAVE is a grassroots level ministry on this campus and by meeting one hour a week strong relationships are formed that many times lasts throughout the college experience.

Pedro Reis was born in 1987 in a small town in Brazil.  He moved to the United States in 1990 at the age of 3 and grew up in the New York City area.  In 2009 Pedro graduated from Eastern University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology.  After graduation he joined a volunteer missions organization called Mission Year and spent two years living and working in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the west side of Chicago.  There he felt the call to ministry and moved back to New York to marry his wife Anne.  Pedro is now attending Alliance Theological Seminary.  If you wish to talk to Pedro about PAVE Mentoring you can contact him at or you can reach him at ext. 7162.
