NYC Campus Life
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”.
When I first joined the Nyack family in the winter of 2005, I was already convinced that at Nyack College and Alliance Theological Seminary the hearts and minds of men and women would be molded and shaped to prepare them for becoming “world changers.” That was the vision of our founder A.B. Simpson back in 1882 and it remains to this present day.
Fast forward….we are in a new season of a dream come true—“the Miracle in Manhattan.” The relocation of our Manhattan campus from Broadway to Battery Park and the story behind the new facility are nothing short of miraculous.
As I reflect on where we have been and where God has brought us, I am reminded of the lives that are being impacted—not just our students—but the people they encounter. It is an honor to be involved in the higher education experience and the journey that will play a part of empowering our students for service as the next generation of “world changers.”
My earnest desire is to serve our students holistically by offering every opportunity for growth through a first-rate academic experience as well as through extra-curricular activities, worship experiences, missional projects, athletics, and the arts. Equipped with these resources, I am confident that the changes that take place in them will be a part of the changes that take place in the world as they advance God’s kingdom.
