What is the Core of the MLL Department at Nyack College?
Students receive solid training in all aspects of language learning including reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar, and vocabulary.
Socially Relevant and Globally Engaging:
Nyack's language students gain experience and awareness of other cultures by entering those cultures; they take trips to
local language centers to eat and experience language in context in the native culture. Students learn to communicate so that they can interact with people from other cultures and make a difference in their lives.
Since Nyack College is in New York, it boasts a highly diverse population and neighborhood. Students can learn language, experience culture, and interact with native speakers in their subculture in the Big Apple.
Nyack's language students who study language, and cultures, come to a new understanding of their own lives. As a result, they gain a better understanding of themselves and their identity in Christ.
