Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Professional Studies in Organizational Management


Nyack College’s online degree completion program for a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Professional Studies in Organizational Management is designed to allow students to develop as leaders and change agents within their organizations. With a focus on organizational health and growth, students are equipped to analyze, diagnose, and lead change that will enable them to create healthy, vibrant organizations. With a strong focus on academic research, students in this program are fully prepared for graduate school.

Key Faculty

Dr. Julie Hood currently serves as the Director of Academic Programs for the School of Adult and Distance Education at Nyack College. During her tenure at Nyack, she has developed several professional degree programs for working adults in both online and hybrid formats. Dr. Hood also serves as both the department chair and an assistant professor for the Organizational Management program. She teaches in the areas of organizational management, organizational theory, communication, and leadership. She received a Ph.D. in Organizational Management and Leadership from Capella University, and she also holds an M.S. in Organizational Communication. Her research interests include servant leadership, followership, and women in leadership.

Dr. Elena Murphy is the Associate Director of Advisement for Adult Programs and advises adult undergraduate students regarding deficient degree credit requirements. She has taught a number of courses in the School of Adult and Distance Education bachelor's program and is currently the main instructor for the Prior Learning Assessment course. Dr. Murphy has been serving students at Nyack College since 1995.
