Wednesday October 24, 2012 Nyack College NYC Office of Student Development hosted Nyack’s Got Talent.
Thirteen students performed before three student judges and their student peers in a packed Haven.
The competition had four categories, which were vocals, spoken word, instrumental and rap.
Each performer poured their heart and soul into their performance and the atmosphere was electric. The semi-finalists were Sherazade Holman for vocals, Devon Williams tied Chris Williams for instrumental/vocal instrumental, Jassie Harris for spoken word and Arial Cruz for rap.
The winner of the event was Chris Williams for the song he performed, “Falling in love with Jesus”. Chris promptly gave away his metro card prize and thanked the Lord for the opportunity to minister in his gifting.
The competition was a huge success with students asking for another Nyack’s Got Talent in the spring.
