Kudos for Coach Keith Davie and Men's Soccer Team

Posted by Deborah.Walker on Sunday November 13, 2011

“He is the winningest soccer coach in the college’s history…”. These words written in the Pearl River, NY edition of Patch refer to Keith Davie, Nyack College's men’s soccer coach.

Davie, named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) coach of the year twice, took his team to Nyack’s first National Collegiate Athletic Association Division II soccer championship bid. Though that pursuit ended yesterday in New Hampshire, the Warriors (pictured above) spent a light moment with Newt Gingrich, former Speaker of the House and current contender for the Republican presidential candidacy.

Felix Horn was named 2011 CACC Tournament MVP and Adrian Ibanez reached his 21st career shutout in the championship victory over Post, which earned him first all-time in the CACC. Both were recently named Quiznos Sub “Players of Week.”

Kudos to all for an amazing year of competition!
