Students from the Czech Republic Visit Nyack Rockland

Posted by Deborah.Walker on Thursday July 2, 2009

On Tuesday, July 7, Nyack College Rockland will welcome high school and college students from the Czech Republic who are visiting the United States. The students are traveling under the auspices of Atlantic Bridge, an international Christian youth organization based in the Netherlands, where John Oostdyk, a 1969 Nyack alumnus, is director. While in the States the group is being hosted by the YMCA of Rockland and they will lodge with local families.
YMCA Executive Director, Chuck Maze, arranged with Earl Milller, Nyack’s Executive Director of Community Relations to coordinate a tour of Nyack’s Rockland campus. A panel of faculty and staff will meet with the students to discuss the integration of Christian faith with social, ethical, and professional issues. A luncheon with members of the Rockland campus community will be provided.
