The 10th Biennial Global Mural Conference was recently held at the Woodcliff Hotel in Fairport, NY. Among the 20 commissioned mural artists was Nyack’s own Qian Ye (’13 BS, ’15 MSOL). The public was invited to watch the artists at work on their 16-by-7-foot canvases creating murals with the theme, “Preserving Heritage through Community Art.” Coverage of the conference received media coverage in the Rochester area, including on WHAM Channel 13.

This past spring, Qian presented “360 Degrees,” an exhibition of her original paintings and sculptures in Shuman Hall on Nyack’s Rockland County campus.

Multi-talented, Qian’s vocal gift has been showcased in performances as Mimi in La Boheme and as Angelica in Suor Angelica, both with the Nyack College Opera Workshop.
