Nyack President, Professors and Staff Are CCCU Diversity Conference Presenters

Nyack College, named this year as one of America’s top 50 most ethnically diverse U.S. colleges by The Best Colleges.org, will welcome the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU) 2016 Diversity Conference to the New York City campus Friday, September 23-25, located at Two Washington Street in Battery Park.

Among the featured presenters and panelists are the following:

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 23

9:00 AM Conference Welcome Session, Dr. Michael G. Scales, President, Nyack College/Alliance Theological Seminary

Musical performance by Purpose, the Nyack College NYC Gospel Ensemble, directed by Prof. Willana Mack

11:00 AM Dr. Wanda Walborn, Director, Office of Spiritual Formation, Getting on the Same Page: Spiritual Formation in a Diverse Community

2:00 PM Dr. Gwen Parker Ames, Associate Dean of Student Success and Mr. Nathaniel Perez, College Advisor/Coordinator for The Conversation Project, The Conversation Project: Expanding the Dialogue on Race & Cultural Reconciliation

6:00 PM Arts Presentation: Pieces from West Side Story performed by the Nyack College Drama Ensemble, directed by Dr. David Turk (Provost, Nyack College/Alliance Theological Seminary and member of the CCCU Commission on Diversity) and School of Music professors, Dr. Dana Talley and Prof. Mary Gatchell

6:00 PM Musical performance by the Christian Folk Ensemble and Nyack College NYC Alumni Choir directed by Dr. Sue Talley (Dean Nyack NYC School of Music) and Prof. Willana Mack.
