Lauren Lebo Named 2016 Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association’s Division II Scholar-Athlete of the Year!

Lauren Lebo, a Nyack College 2016 summa cum laude School of Nursing graduate was named Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association’s Division II Scholar-Athlete of the Year!

Lauren’s 3.80 GPA earned her a place on Nyack’s Dean’s list. She was also inducted into the Alpha Chi Honor Society and the Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society. At Nyack's pre-Commencement Pinning Ceremony, she received the American Nursing Association (ANA) Future Nurse Leader Award and also the Drs. Ardel and Teresa Vietti Award for Academic Excellence in Nursing. Lebo graduated at the top of her nursing class and is one of only two athletes at the school to graduate from the rigorous nursing program while competing as a varsity athlete.

On the lacrosse field, Lebo tallied 202 career goals in only 63 games. In her senior season, she totaled 66 points, 150 draw controls, 25 ground balls, and 9 caused turnovers en route to earning First-team All-CACC honors. She led NCAA Division II in draw controls for each of the last two seasons, and served as a four-year captain for her team.
