Nyack Doing Community Well: Loving Our Neighbor

Posted by Deborah.Walker on Thursday April 21, 2016

Nyack College’s community partnerships are alive and well.

The bond established with the Luis Palau Association's NY CityServe movement provided an opportunity for Nyack New York City campus students to show their heart for art…and community.

Recently the group made a trip to the Bronx to help with prepping and painting a mural at P.S. 236 under the auspices of the School Murals initiative.

Associate Dean of Students, Dr. Charles Hammond, who coordinated Nyack's involvement with the NY CityServe "Loving Our Neighbor" event says, "Our students love these kind of opportunities to shine brightly in our neighborhoods. It's just another example of Nyack's DNA which is to SERVE, LEAD and MINISTER the love of our Lord Jesus to the City."
