Nyack Softball Players Make CACC All-Academic Team

Two Nyack Warrior softball players were named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) 2015 Spring All-Academic Team for the seven spring championship sports played at 14 institutions in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.

Of the 154 student-athletes recognized in this NCAA Division II Conference, 62 were softball players, the sport which led in number of honorees. Nyack’s Kim Yano, a criminal justice major, earned a 3.68 GPA and Elyanna Rivas, a business administration major, earned a 3.59 GPA.

Athletes who qualify for the All-Academic Team must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have been at their school for at least two semesters, and must have achieved a 3.50 GPA or higher through the fall semester of 2014.
