ATS Colloquium On State and Religion: The Case of Israel

The Nyack College Center for Scholarship and Global Engagement (CSGE) will host the ATS Colloquium: State and Religion: The Case of Israel featuring Dr. Christiane Reves and Dr. Vilma, "Nina" Balmaceda. The forum will take place on Wednesday, March 25 on the Rockland County campus of Alliance Theological Seminary (ATS), 350 North Highland Avenue in Nyack from 12 noon until 1 p.m.

Dr. Reves is International Worker in Residence at ATS and has served with The Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA) in Beer Sheva, Israel and in France. She and her husband Matthew have also served as researchers at Beer Sheva University. Christiane has a Ph.D. in history and teaches at universities and colleges. She has worked as a journalist and in public relations for the German government.

Dr. Balmaceda is the director of Nyack’s Center for Scholarship and Global Engagement. She is an associate professor of political science at Nyack. She earned her Ph.D. in political science at the University of Notre Dame and two master’s degrees in government and international studies and in international peace studies, both at the University of Notre Dame.
