The Manhattan and Rockland County, NY campuses of Nyack College and Alliance Theological Seminary will be the beneficiaries of a nearly $300,000 grant awarded to the C&MA Metropolitan District by the Kern Family Foundation. The purpose of the grant is to train emerging ministers in the integration of faith, work, and economics in order to empower whole-life disciples in the marketplace.

This two-year-grant will support the efforts of Nyack/ATS, local churches, and marketplace leaders to integrate faith, work, and economic wisdom in their lives through constructive dialogue, seminars, courses, and conferences.

Nyack College Assistant Professor of Pastoral Ministries Dr. Orlando Rivera (pictured above) will serve as the director of the Metro District’s Center for Transformative Work headquartered at Nyack’s Manhattan campus.
