CSGE Presents Nyack Critical Reads: A Colloquium Series

The Center for Scholarship and Global Engagement will launch its events beginning this week.

The colloquium series, NYACK CRITICAL READS 2014, will be conducted on both the Manhattan campus at 2 Washington Street, Room 2130 and on the Rockland campus in Presidents Hall in Shuman Hall, 185 South Highland Ave in Nyack.

Speakers and the books they will present are:

Dr. Kevin Pinkham, Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison

February 6 – Manhattan

February 12 – Rockland

 

Udo Middelmann, LL.M., Endangered Minds by Jane Healy and Being and Becoming Human by Willard Gaylin

March 6 – Manhattan

March 12 – Rockland

 

Dr. Lyndell O’Hara, The King Years: Historic Moments in the Civil Rights Movement by Taylor Branch

April 2 – Rockland

April 3 – Manhattan

 

Udo Middelmann, LL.M., The Testament of God by Bernard-Henri Levy

Arguing With God: A Jewish Tradition by Anson Laytner

April 16 – Rockland

April 17 – Manhattan
