Homegoing of Allen E. Bisbee '60

Allen E. Bisbee '60 passed away on January 1, 2013 at the age of 75. After graduating from Nyack, he later went on to earn a master's degree in education from SUNY-Fredonia. Allen served his country in Germany as a member of the United States Army from 1960-1962. In 1965, he began his teaching career at Mayville Central School where he served as a 6th grade teacher for five years. A lifelong educator and follower of Jesus, Allen and his wife, Nada (Loomis '61), served together as missionaries in Penang, Malaysia at the Dalat International School from 1971-1975. Upon returning to the United States, Allen taught 5th grade at Chapel Hill Christian School for 20 years. He also worked as the Retail Manager at Frecka Plumbing for 18 years until his retirement in 2009. Allen was devoted to The Christian & Missionary Alliance and served in several churches as a Sunday School teacher and church board member. Left to honor Allen and cherish his faithful legacy is his beloved wife of 49 years, Nada, their two children, Daniel Bisbee (and his wife Karin) and Darlene Risjan (and her husband Jack), three grandchildren, and older sister, Roberta Mae (Dallas) Adams.
